Understanding Pro-Demnity’s Technical Requirements Schedule

May 14 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Water is pooled on a dark wooden floor beside a window and a couch implying a significant flood.

Each year, Architects face claims of design-related water ingress. But is the design (and the Architect) to be blamed? This session demystifies Pro-Demnity’s Technical Requirements Schedule and helps you gain a better understanding of how to design precast concrete and window wall systems (and more!) in a manner that ensures coverage for claims related to water ingress.

Learning Objectives
1. Understand the context and rationale for the Technical Requirements Schedule.
2. Understand how to mitigate design risks and improve quality assurance (QA) by referencing the Technical Requirements Schedule.
3. Learn how to incorporate and document the input of Independent Building Envelope Consultants (IBECs) in the design and review process.
4. Explore case studies involving water ingress claims and how following the Technical Requirements Schedule in certain designs provides a strong defense.

Grab-and-go lunch outside the meeting room at 12 pm. Sponsored Learning session in the assigned room from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
