Mr. Panday’s career spreads over 38 years in financial services sector in Canada, USA and India. In 2009, he founded PanVest Capital Corporation, which provides investment banking and corporate governance advisory services. In 2003, as the founding-President & CEO, he led the formation of ICICI Bank Canada and ICICI Group’s wealth management strategy across North America. Prior to ICICI Bank, he held executive and management roles with HSBC Bank Canada, Bank of Montreal and PriceWaterhouse Coopers.

He is presently the Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Governance & Regulatory Committee, Tarion Warranty Corporation (provincial Designated Administrative Authority); Chairman, Audit Committees, Raymond James Trust Canada (OSFI regulated) and Raymond James Trust Quebec (AMF regulated); and Chairman, Corporate Governance, Stone Investment Group (OSC regulated).

He has been lecturing on Accountability and Governance at York University for six consecutive years, under the Master of Financial Accountability (MFAc) program. He has authored a chapter on Cross-border Corporate Governance in The Handbook of Board Governance, Second Edition (2020), published by Wiley’s.

He is currently the Honorary Colonel for 32 Service Battalion, Canadian Armed Forces and volunteers on: CD Howe Institute (National Council); and CPA Canada’s Corporate Oversight and Governance Advisory Board (COGB). For over a decade he has supported the Canadian Helen Keller Foundation and the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons.

Mr. Panday has addressed many forums and institutions on policy matters, corporate leadership & governance addressing the Senate of Canada, Osgoode Law School, Conference Board, the Canadian Forces College, Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), Turnaround Management Association (TMA, US), Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise and NASDAQ (Iceland), The Empire Club, CIO Association of Canada, etc.

In 2014, he received the Fellowship of the Certified General Accountant (FCGA). In 2012, he received The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is a member of CPA Canada, NACD, Washington, DC, and ICD, Canada.
